You asked and we heard you! In less than a day, eager people were asking if the RuPaul’s Drag Race Viewing Party at the lower salon of the Renaissance Event Venue would be an all ages event. Here is our response.
The program RuPaul’s Drag Race has been catalogued in the past as PG-13 (in the United States) due to the use of cuss words, adult and candid conversations, scantly clad boys with underwear that doesn’t leave anything to the imagination. However, many people have expressed the benefits of the program for breaking down barriers for young and old.
As a trial, February 28th’s Viewing Party will be an All Ages event with the following stipulations:
- Anyone under the age of 19 years of age must be accompanied by an adult. No exception, hunty!
- TShow does not recommend children under the age of 13 due to the real and strong potential for the use of cuss words, alcohol consumption, and adult and candid conversations (Let’s talk about sex, baby!). This may be from the Drag Race program but it may be from the local drag queens as well. We queens may not hold back/child-filter ourselves after a cocktail or two. You have been warned. Someone might share a repressed memory of how they got their shitty ass warts zapped off by a fuck-show of a laser beam… you’ve been warned! This could happen. Maybe keep the kids at home with dad.
- Future All Ages viewings will depend on the outcomes of this February 28th trial.
Thank you for your time reading this! I and many others are really looking forward to the 28th. It will be a first and I’m sure there may be some growing pains along the way. Thank you for your patience!
